If our insurance rates and medical spending was the same as the next most expensive country, WE WOULD HABE NO DEFICIT.

Medicare for all would wipe out our debt.

What the Fuck is Washington doing?

Oh my God. The government is corrupted by the for profit healthcare system.

Geek Universal Healthcare post of the century. We’re still waiting for the for profit healthcare insurers to be slaughtered. They are objecting to a 0.3% of spending. Just disgusting. And it could fix this!

The @sfchronicle.com just published this brutal political cartoon. Sums up Trump’s philosophy beautifully. This will end, how well it ends is up to the republicans. It can be peaceful if they let it be.

Just a hint that while Chris Horner, mentioned below, is a Washington lawyer, he’s also a paid member of the federalist society and a known climate denier. The @wsj ignores that when he writes a climate OpEd. The presstitutes don’t want you to know he’s an industry shill. The op Ed was gaslighting.

Remember when Trump claimed his tariffs are going to save the economy? So sad. Here’s how it’s going and how it’s gone. This alone won’t send us into a recession, but added to the other mismanagement, it will almost be impossible to have a soft landing.

Does the reduction of imports look familiar?

America first! Am I right?
Trump doesn’t care abut you, he never did.

H/T Paul Krugman

Here’s a comparison that I hope makes the point. Let’s look at what happened to consumer prices under two presidents: Joe Biden and Ronald Reagan:

Who thinks AI is going to save the world?

In the most recent quarter — Meta, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Oracle — spent more than $100 billion on AI infrastructure, including chips and data center shells. That’s the equivalent of three Manhattan Projects in inflation-adjusted dollars.

The saddest part is it’s too true.
This incompetent #Idiocracy would like nothing better than to muzzle all Americans and treat them like dogs.

This is a litmus test.

If you arbitrarily remove immigrants commercial license you will not do well in politics going forward.

We see you abandoning minorities. Do your damn job and stand up for all Californians or go home.

Asking the voters what policies they want shows many republicans want the same policies as democrats. Those voters are available without ‘tacking to the center’, go get ‘em!

data journalism?
Popularity loss per month from @natesilver538x.bsky.social, extrapolating linearly we see a -30% disapproval rating for Trump at the midterms. Which, if we use the graph from the economist, predicts Republican loss of 67 seats. 276-162. Not veto proof.
Unless it’s Epstein.

They are so weird.
Let the business man do it.
This is why we are here.
We let the business men do it.
We started letting them do it in 1980. Before then for profit healthcare was ILLEGAL, and for good reason. Look what it’s done to our health.
It’s made us sicker and causes us to die sooner. Sigh.

Maybe I’m dense, but why aren’t @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social and @schumer.senate.gov suing Trump for $1B for the fake AI libel and slander he put out over the airwaves? Seems like a slam dunk civil suit.

Could some lawyer explain to me why this is not the case?

Not only do red states have the worst violent offenses, they skew their statistics to make themselves look better.

There still the most violent places in America. Even when they cheat. Time to deploy the National Guard for god damned sure.

Two can play at terror.

For Profit HealthCare is the number one killer in this country.

Amplified by Private Equity, the number two killer in this country.

The republicans have been dissing the military for a very long time. It’s not just Trump.
November 12, 2025 at 7:11 PM
They’re fake polls. Rasmussen is average 3 point Republican and they are putting their foot on the scale right now. @natesilver is weighting the fly by night polls with no history as perfect. Not even close. He’s lost the plot.

The midterms will absolutely be an election won by turnout.

Adults hate Trump more than likely voters. This is particular true in red states.

The Democrats must run hard in every state, but harder in red states. Turn out is the clincher this time.

I bring receipts.
Even Nate can’t hide this.
November 8, 2025 at 4:51 PM
Mamdani won a larger mandate in NYC than Trump did on the US. Simple math. And the turnout was high.

But, according to @wsj.com “Voters are frustrated with Trump, but they aren't about to embrace Mamdani.”

Because why? Because the Journal’s owner is scared shitless of Democratic Socialists.
