I visited the Baton Rouge main library today to catch a small event of quilts made by Wasted Women for the Giving Quilt Guild, which donates quilts. Last year, they donated more than 600 quilts.

My guild members will be exchanging these 28 log cabin themed blocks with quilters from Meylan France (our sister city) when we host them at the end of March. We’ve arranged to house them at a quilt retreat house. #meylan #quiltguild

I was gifted this beautiful block by a quilter in France (our guilds exchange blocks annually). The theme was ‘my favorite place’. I added a binding and hung it in my studio.

I worked on my Right Angle Rainbow today, until I realized that I had to reorganize my entire stash by colors! That took a few hours, but green is on deck!

I started a Right Angle Rainbow today, to use up some scraps. Its easier than it looks! It will be at least a baby size, but will make these scraps go as far as they can. #quiltsky

I once saved a picture of an upside down blood orange cake made by Martha Stewart, because I thought it would make a great wall hanging quilt in my kitchen. Don’t you think this would be awesome?
