The difference between the BAME Home Scholarship and the project-based studentships is that there is no preset project for the BAME scholarship and you will need to develop your own proposal as part of the application process.

That’s terrible! The HO changes rules so frequently their own staff are unaware or uncertain about the newest rules! It’s insane.
Also insane is this lie about settlement being automatic. It’s even in this consultation:

You also have to apply for ILR and pay the application fee, but they could still reject it! It’s far from automatic!!
