He/him. Fun nerdy guy who loves movies, video games, comic books and dumb, dumb jokes.
My thoughts exactly. A perfect budget title for the Switch 2 that's bafflingly being sold at full price.

This will age poorly when the Zelda movie is clearly set in this Hyrule.

I think the one thing that Game Freak has objectively improved is the ability to catch any Pokémon and have them be viable team members almost immediately. In the older games you basically had to predesign your team ahead of time in order to avoid any grinding.

Like I have seen multiple influential social media personalities be built on the backs of reactionary content about Pokémon or Star Wars that turn toxic when the person didn’t like it anymore, but still felt the need to keep engaging with it to satiate their followers.

I hate how modern social media has turned people’s fandom into part of their personalities, to the point where even if they clearly don’t enjoy a series anymore, they feel compelled to keep engaging with it in order to keep getting attention from whatever following they have.

I gotta get back on that server soon as I’m able to afford it. Miss you all ❤️

Kinda wild to see you say 2003 since I didn’t become a part of the fandom until 2008 (I was still learning to read in ‘03). For the most part I never noticed how bad it could get until 2019 (coincidentally right after I was done being a teenager).

My comment on that same video.

I remember really liking how the Mandalorian wasn’t afraid to have several one-off episodes that existed just for cute character moments and not just to just tease the eventual season finale. And then the rest of the Star Wars fandom complained that the show was wasting episodes 😒

It’s important to remember that AI in Tron is the classic sci-fi version of AI which is an artificially created brain capable of complex thoughts and feelings, not the snake oil peddled out by modern tech bros.

It’s a weird film which falls apart when you think about it for more than five seconds. Like Laurie lives in constant paranoia of Michael returning but doesn’t think of just moving to a different town? I know them being siblings is controversial but it at least keeps her relevant to the story.

I think that might be why I prefer Galaxy 1 over Galaxy 2. The original really felt like it had more going on in it outside of just new levels and is far more memorable to me than anything in Galaxy 2 which just kind of blends together in my mind.

When people say something is “soulless” it’s usually teens / early adults who can’t understand why modern media doesn’t have as much of an emotional impact on them as much as stuff they experienced when they were 10 years old.

Also weird seeing Sonic fans, using IGN of all companies as the proof of quality. I guess they all forgot the decades they spent complaining that Unleashed got a 4.5.

Doesn’t even upset me, I just find it fascinating

Yes John Semper and co. did create the original Spider-Verse concept in the animated series, but it would take about 20 years before it was revisited in radically different ways.

I wasn’t trying to imply that the concept was entirely Slott’s idea. I just meant that without his involvement with this game you wouldn’t get the original Spider-verse comic event which created the modern idea of what the Spider-Verse concept would look like.
