MDPI’s ~8x special issues over regular issues is mind boggling. How is that special when it’s so many and so frequent? It’s like saying “limited edition car” when 90% of the cars sold are limited…

Only a subset of my papers fit there, but my favorite journals that publish biomechanics are Journal of the Royal Society Interface & Journal of Experimental Biology. We've also had good experiences with a couple of the IEEE Transactions on … journals. None of these only focus on biomechanics though

J. Experimental Biology welcomes papers that combine experiment & modeling, & we publish a lot of biomechanics. The work must provide insight into mechanisms that are broadly relevant in a comparative/evolutionary context even if the specific work focuses on humans. 🧪 #biomechsky
