Wasn’t expecting to be here today but I missed my direct connection to Keighley in Lancaster. Going via Preston and then Bradford was the fastest option. I will be home 2 hours later than planned. I had a brief sense of humour failure in Lancaster but I’m back just riding the wave. Adventures 🤷🏻♀️

So amidst a fair few tears I have called today’s walk at 9.5 miles. It’s a physically much harder section and that coupled with my feet being really painful meant that I was moving so slowly that we were going to run out of time. I got in my head and everything went wrong. I’m so disappointed.

We started our Hadrian’s Wall adventure this afternoon with a gorgeous train journey from Keighley to Carlisle and then a taxi to Bowness-on-Solway where one of the first things Kath did was rescue a Swallow that had flown into the B&B house.

How do you keep an outdoor cat in for 48 hours? Nodded and smiled at vet nurse and ignored the minute we got home. Our Kilian is in his happy place enjoying the air after having 10 teeth extracted. He’s staying close and is perfectly safe
