The same is true with money…just because a person has more money doesn’t equate to them being more intelligent…AT ALL!!
I’ve been able to do both since I was 5…but I attribute that to having access because of my parents’ incomes when I was a child…also played little league baseball before basketball and football…

On her deathbed my great-granny told me about family, “If they knew better they’d do better” and if they won’t listen then just take care of yourself. Then she made me promise that I’d show up for family if/when the NEED me.
She passed on a few hrs later…I keep the promise & love from a distance…

This, being the cycle breaker is stressful af. The weight of seeing them suffer from the very things you’re moving past, but knowing they won’t listen enough to abandon what they know.
