Solidarity with @ucuedinburgh.bsky.social. Edinburgh is a rich university and the framing of these cuts is, in my a view, choice rather than a necessity.
UCU members at @ucuedinburgh.bsky.social are striking today over University of Edinburgh plans to make £140million in cuts and threaten jobs

Today I found out a manuscript which has been under review for more than a year had been rejected after a change of editor, then I was informed I was not being put forward for a major grant. Then at 4.59pm I found out my team won a different research grant. What a day.
