I never or rarely heard Adonai in church growing up. I think it might have been used in special circumstances to explain some older context of a scripture. Lutheran Churches usually stick to naming things after a few specific names. Bethany is a popular one (yes, I know it's Hebrew/Aramaic based)

Another counterpoint to that is Equestria Girls. When they cross into another world and become humans, they are specifically high schoolers. My fucking god the knowledge gained from being a parent is weird.

Thank you for that response. It feels tricky with how deeply antisemitism has been ingrained (engrained?) in our western societies over the last 2 millennia.
To be clear: I think it goes without saying that all people should be welcome in any society (except bigots). Bold statement, I know.
