As for us in Scotland, I hope our VC’s will lobby the Scottish Government hard not to impose this idiotic policy on overseas students to Scottish Universities. Make us more attractive to overseas students than rUK unis.

The whole HE sector should issue a joint statement expressing no confidence in Jacqui Smith and Bridget Phillipson.

And say our universities will have no part in collecting, monitoring or administrating such a lunatic policy.

Oh, and boycott the REF.
