I mean, there is an additional level (higher doctorates) but it's not distinguishable by title (in some countries they use the title Dr Habil.)

I would broadly agree: the concept of the secular (non-religion) was made possible by the rise of confessionality (i.e. Christianity), and the Reformation sharpened rather than invented the distinction
