Exactly this! For as much as handwringing as I’ve seen about NIL and the portal ruining the sport, i think it’s been a net positive. Just look at Tulane and JMU in the CFP this year. Is there room for improvement, sure. But overall, i think the sport is more interesting now than it was 10 years ago.
Indiana, even while making Friday night more boring than we wanted, is the prevailing example of why college football is in a great place as a product.
