One of the biggest surprises was finding so many vegan restaurants and coffee shops this time (in 2017 both were pretty scarce). I gorged myself on vegan bakeries and regret nothing.

I was obsessed with gamebooks as a kid, I also had those Forgotten Forest fantasy ones, which I don't remember that well, but one of them had a wizard war, so ten points out of the gate.

Ahhh I just found it! It was called "Plot-Your-Own Horror Stories"! These covers were amazing, I found the whole set at a garage sale when I was a kid.

So unfortunately there's no new comic today. BUT it's because I'm just now coming back from my two-week Kickstarter-mandated vacation (I actually planned on making a comic while I was away, but my laptop broke).

It's true! In the original draft of Dark Science, Xiaoling was a one-off enemy. Now she's the most important secondary protagonist and Kim's girlfriend!

I'm not so deranged as to think a headcanon is fact, but I say with 1000% certainty Julia from Cowboy Bebop is trans. If you know you know.
Also fun fact: after Bebop, Keiko Nobumoto wrote Tokyo Godfathers, which also has a well-written trans woman!

If you've never played Metal Warriors, it's basically a love letter to 80s mecha anime, especially Gundam and Macross. It's a side-scroller but the controls are sophisticated enough to veer into simulation territory. There's even a 1v1 split screen duel mode! I love this game.

I'm really enjoying Panzer Paladin. It plays a bit like Metal Warriors for the SNES, except instead of swapping through a bunch of mechs, your mech swaps through all kinds of weapons, it's a lot of fun!

But then my gf helpfully points out that my brain is goofed in a specific way, where weekly I forget that my new Dark Science book sold a bazillion copies this year and also my Patreon pays all my bills
