🚨NEW PAPER ALERT! We demonstrate priming of defence in oak seedlings with different elicitors. BABA is the most effective, could we use this approach in tree nurseries to protect young oaks from powdery mildew? onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/... 🌳 @uktreescapes.bsky.social
Elicitor Specific Mechanisms of Defence Priming in Oak Seedlings Against Powdery Mildew
We performed transcriptomics and metabolomics analyses of chemical-induced priming in oak seedlings against powdery mildew. Different priming elicitors have specific impacts on defence, with β-amino ...

Warmer summers are causing European beeches to produce seed more often, depleting the trees’ stored resources—an indirect effect of climate change that is threatening the sustainability of Europe’s most widespread forest tree. In PNAS: www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

Developmentally regulated generation of a systemic signal for long‐lasting defence priming in tomato
Tomato is a major global crop. However, its production is limited by Botrytis cinerea. Due to the toxicity of postharvest pesticide application, alternative control methods such as priming are being...
