The next time the President starts talking about *anything*, it’s best to not believe him.

Trump may not be aware of what happened to monuments to Joe Stalin and Vladimir Lenin. What goes up...will come down.

How about another Great Depression? Prices would fall…but 20% unemployment? Add in a clueless administration, and that’s a formula for a real mass uprising/revolt - the kind of thing the New Deal was implemented to forestall.

Well, I want my body to be 25 years old - I want to get younger, not just stop aging - but that’s genuinely hard, too!

It seems as though much of the public consists of idiots. I mean, they voted for Trump! There you have it, gentlemen; what more evidence do we need.
December 17, 2025 at 10:24 PM
It’s not ironic; they have an agenda, and they’re pursuing it.
December 17, 2025 at 10:19 PM
The man is certifiably nuts.
December 17, 2025 at 12:49 AM
Well, Cindy, I don’t think anything I wrote was intended as a wisecrack. If you were referring to the “thoughts and prayers” comment…politicians use “thoughts and prayers” to deflect and avoid taking serious positions or actions…so yes, worse than nothing.

We’d also have to get rid of Medicare Advantage, or the health insurance industry would bleed us all dry.
December 15, 2025 at 8:42 PM
Too soon? We must wait until the American people, and their feckless leaders, lapse back into apathy - to guarantee nothing serious will be done about guns?

Too soon? No... WAY too late. Better late than never. And no, don't leave space for "thoughts and prayers," which do damn nothing to help.

Happy Birthday, Brandi!

Per “When Harry Met Sally,” Pam Bondi is “your basic nightmare,” which is basically why she is the Attorney General. Legal acumen…not so much.
December 11, 2025 at 8:53 PM
Define “responsible United States Attorney.” There is no such animal in the Eastern District of Virginia.
December 11, 2025 at 8:50 PM
Serif typefaces are simply easier to read, in any remotely large document. Switching to a sans serif font wasn't "woke" - it was just uninformed about typefaces and readability.

The need to meet their quotas, I guess. It probably matters more to the individual ICE goon to arrest the expected number of people than whether those people actually stay in custody.
December 11, 2025 at 5:03 PM
Well, we know from Bove's tenure as Trump's attorney, and then his time at DOJ, that "Emil Bove" and "ethics" don't appear in the same sentence, unless that sentence also includes the words "absence of."
December 11, 2025 at 5:34 AM
Oh, Cate. That is just brutal!
December 11, 2025 at 2:28 AM
So in addition to mass murder, we can now add piracy to the list of Trump’s crimes committed in our names.
December 10, 2025 at 9:49 PM
See “Quest for Fire,” released in the 1980s, probably available to stream somewhere. Contrast between hominids that used and kept fire, and others that had learned how to create fire. Not anthropologically accurate, but illustrative.
December 10, 2025 at 9:15 PM
So, in addition to mass murder, we’re now committing piracy. What’s next?
December 10, 2025 at 9:10 PM
It’s a waste of taxpayer dollars…but every dollar they waste on unnecessary hardware is a dollar they’re not spending to put additional brownshirts on the streets.
December 10, 2025 at 9:05 PM
Systematic mass murder…conducted by Trump and his fellow psychopaths…in all of our names.

If we do not treat these people as what they are - as mass murderers, to be prosecuted and punished - then we become complicit in mass murder.

Prosecco here.
December 10, 2025 at 2:17 PM
Beyond that…”Why are you pardoning felons whose cases you know very little about? Do the due diligence, or resign, damnit.”

My religious right to place your children’s health, or their lives at risk, is absolute!

Senator McCormick, in addition to being a Connecticut carpetbagger in Pennsylavnia, is a typical Republican corporatist type: he'll happily lie through his teeth in public, if he thinks it enhances his power. He should be horsewhipped (then hanged, shot and sent to the Russian front, Sgt. Shultz!).
