Gradient descent is just "try, observe, correct". Ecoli moves by taking a random position, observing particles, and then correcting its position unconsciously to move towards those particles. The scientific method is a universal property that shows up everywhere the same way cubes and triangles do.

This is just low quality philosophical "what iffery" that rejects the idea that there can be more certain ways of thinking simply because we can never be 100% certain. I don't have to accept that.
