Elitist certainly. But bad? No.
However, it says everything about the ECB (and most of the counties) that they’d rather - initially at least - invent a new format rather than make the necessary demographic and cultural changes to the existing formats and structures.

Not including junior levels, Brook has played first class cricket for Yorkshire since 2016. Some time before The Hundred became the ECB’s wet dream. 🤷🏻♂️
