The giveaway might be the response of Tasmanian Labor and Liberals. If they aren’t jumping up and down about this proposed concession from federal Labor, then they must think it won’t actually prevent native forest logging in Tasmania.

Since we don’t find out what the new environment standards are until after the legislation has passed, it’s not clear that native forest logging would end if no longer exempt from standards anyway, right?
