An inspiring day last Friday in Perth for the Intangible Cultural Heritage Scotland conference, hearing about living heritage in Scotland today and attitudes to safeguarding.
Looking forward to reviewing how @glasgowburns.bsky.social’s research into the Burns Supper will feed into these discussions!

A midweek treat yesterday spending the day in Edinburgh’s archives with Kate Ferrier to undertake joint research of Susan Ferrier. Particularly nice to see the 1841 Bentley editions in person, Ferrier’s commonplace book, and the Maplehurst Manor fragment (and, of course, lunch).

Happy Post Day! Very pleased to have tracked down this 1902 edition of The Inheritance, published in Methuen’s ‘Little Library’ series and based on Blackwood’s 1824 first edition. Interesting to consider in terms of Ferrier’s c19-c20 canonisation - and also a very pretty edition.
