Gentle twists can be nice but only twist as far as feels okay. I like a supine twist where I lay on my back and have my feet on the floor so my knees are up. Cross your right leg over so your right ankle is on your left thigh, then twist your lower body so the side of your left thigh/knee is moving

hang forward if it feels okay but you may want to support your low back or not allow your full weight to pull on your back. You can do the same while seated on the floor with your legs open in a v shape if standing is too much. The “cat-cow” yoga pose is good for mobilizing your spine as well.

A few tips from someone with a long-standing back issue. Walking and gentle movement are your best friend. Bed rest is bad for you, so try to stand/walk/move at least once or twice an hour. For low back pain, while standing, slowly bend forward and back only as far as feels comfortable. You can
