I’m reading a book about the Industrial Revolution right now. According to it, they only cared that it would take away their jobs. But… yes.

The second element is how immediately it reduces labor leverage by making drivers (who represent 1 in 6 of working Americans) redundant. How quickly this occurs will vary but the end goal is there. The same way manufacturing continues to push for maximum automation.

Obviously it’s compelling enough for it to work. Which maybe says more about how low the standards for engagement are than how clever (or not) the fascists are.

There’s obviously a very focused arm of that system that is certainly attuned to the complexity of their goal by utilizing figureheads, so not saying it doesn’t exist. But Trump and his many surrogates as its central figures indicate that it’s fascism by dummies.
