Hi everyone I am new to BlueSk 👋

I am a physical therapist and strength coach.

This is what you can expect from my account:

• Educational Insights: I’ll share tips and strategies on improving movement, wellness, posture, injury prevention, and performance enhancement. 📚💡

#introduction
So I’m catching up on some CEUs this weekend about exercise physiology for physical therapists. One point mentioned that stood out to me was the idea that lactate lowers pH and causes fatigue, something that used to be widely taught.

Have you heard of “lactic acid”? 🧵⬇️

Research shows that safe environments dramatically reduce suicide rates, improve mental health, and lead to better long-term outcomes for all individuals, including those who are transgender.

Every person deserves dignity and respect, especially when the science is clear: support saves lives.

We’ve seen significant shifts in policies that directly impact our environment and, consequently, our health and well-being. These changes influence the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the stability of our communities.

Equally important to highlight is that there is nothing wrong with individuals on the autism spectrum—they are not sick, broken, or defective.

Movement heals—and it doesn’t always need a gym! Outdoor exercises, walking trails, and low-impact activities are great ways to connect with nature while staying active. What’s your favorite way to stay active outdoors?

a cartoon of earth walking a dog with the words just walking below
Alt: A cartoon illustration of the Earth, depicted as a large, round globe with continents and oceans, personified with arms, legs, and a hat. The Earth is holding a leash attached to the Moon, which is depicted as a smaller, round object representing Earth’s natural satellite, also personified with arms and legs. The Earth appears to be walking the Moon like a dog. The caption below reads, “Just walking,” humorously playing on the idea that the Moon orbits the Earth in space.

Spot That Sciatica: SI Joint Pain or a Sciatica Mimic?

Not all leg pain that feels like sciatica originates from the sciatic nerve! One common mimic of sciatica is sacroiliac joint (SIJ) dysfunction, which starts in the pelvis rather than the spine.
