Me too 😭 My dad has shown me the occasional AI video he thought was funny, and I should’ve known then. But true horror was when my mum showed me a rare photo of my great-grandmother which had been edited with AI, just so she could make it MOVE! I watched my ancestor blink at me uncannily like:

Also love that veteran US character actor Sebastian Roche genuinely loves kdramas which is why he agreed to be in Queen of Tears! It’s like getting a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company to star in your drama!

Likeee! Countries that elect a far-right leader (Yoon) generally aren’t great for gender equality? And SKorea consistently ranks bottom of all OECD countries for gender equality. Fictional shows and visuals should not determine your understanding of what it’s like to live in a country.

As soon as I read that SKorea consistently ranks bottom of OECD countries re gender equality & how Yoon (far-right) was elected by a wave of young men, it was pretty obvious. TV is not real life and I am stunned more ppl don’t realise this

Korea is a mix of private investors via production companies and state funding. Japan and Taiwan is probably through production companies as well, that’s the standard for most entertainment industries including Hollywood.

It’s probably funding. In Thailand they announce dramas and create buzz for them in the hopes of getting enough funding to actually make and air the drama
