‘Winter’s Tale’ just came on the radio, & I was thinking that David Essex must have had a really cold house. It’s snowing hard enough to cover someone’s footsteps...and he’s only just thinking about closing the door. I had the heating on in September Dave.

This was a lucky find in an antiquarian bookshop some years back, a doctor’s bill from 1733, detailing a treatments to the Musgrave family. Will be using it this morning in my teaching – lovely to be able to show the students a real piece of history
