I’ve always gone with western digital - you’ll want several times your main drive , so 6TB ish. Storage is relatively cheap these days so get as much as you can afford/ justify ( often the latter 😂)

I also pay something like 2.99 for 250gb iCloud which covers basic docs, pdfs and pics

Nice - it was the Carnot cycle I couldn’t remember , I just recall you’d get round the second law by using a large heat source at lower temp and doing some work to heat up the smaller sink , provided the temp differential is not too high. I guess modern tech makes this a lot more feasible now

Studied them in first year thermodynamics 40+ years ago and they made sense from a physics point of view- can’t believe they are not standard practice nowadays although I might struggle to apply the correct formula now 😂
