I'm a hydropot 😎
Word of the day is ‘quafftide’ (16th century): the season for drinking. Also a pithy way of declaring that it’s time to relax.

Works for hydropots (water drinkers) just as well.

Word of the day is a favourite, from old Scots.

To ‘tartle’ is to hesitate while introducing someone because you have completely forgotten their name.

Word of the day is ‘suspiring’, from the 16th century: a deep sigh.

(Covers exhaustion, relief, sadness, collapses onto the sofa, or whatever fits the bill).

Day 30...I did it. I made 3 pairs of gloves, 3 hats a baby dress, a poppy and a single bed sized scrap blanket. I raised £130. Dementia killed my mum. I think she'd have been proud of me.

(Not easy to say, but I’m glad to know it exists).

As Matt Hancock testifies all
day before the Covid Inquiry, here’s a reminder of my review of the “genital-munching, scorpion-dodging, forgiveness-seeking former health secretary’s much-hyped Pandemic Diaries”.

TL;DR: Narcissistic, pompous, nausea-inducing.

Tonight there will be a Blue Supermoon at 9:35 ET

The moon will appear about 8% larger than a normal full moon and 15% brighter than a normal full moon.

The next one won't be until January 2037. Keep any eye out tonight!
