When the thermometers dip to the 20sF and below, we need the insulation of a blanket of snow. This protects our water pipes, wells and of course the roots of trees and bushes.

Going into November and still so many apples on the trees. All good too - not wormy (well mostly). Organic. This year was a banner year. Best in 20 years for sure. It does make me wonder, the impact that the spring weather has on future growth and harvests. #apples #orchard #gardening #harvests

It's hard to dry garlic when the humidity is over 90٪. It would take a couple weeks (normally). Probably 3 to 4 weeks now. Will have to stay vigilant on turning bulbs and checking for any development of mold.
