We don’t need Caesar’s sword as the Ring of Power, for Jesus has already given the church two powers—the power of forgiveness (the keys of the kingdom) and the power of the Holy Spirit.

A war budget of 1.5 trillion dollars (proposed for 2027) is $4,322 for every man, woman, and child in America.

Thirty-four years ago today, I was ordained a priest in Christ’s One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. I am grateful and humbled for all my experiences through the years. It’s been an amazing journey full of twists and turns but a deep personal blessing that God continues to take me deeper.

I recommend Brian’s reflections. He articulates my feelings/experiences of well-meaning preachers who lose the mystery of the Gospel story, attempting to somehow solve it, losing the beauty of it in the process.

I don’t have Senators I can contact because both are *rumpers. I could call them but the calls would be ignored. I hope the Dems don’t cave.

Bishop Craig Loya is speaking to the Fall Meeting of the House of Bishops of the #Episcopal Church about the missional journey of being a remnant church. We need to invest in strengthening the core, not convincing the edges as we focus on launching and canoes more than repairing the ocean liner. ⚓️

Kansas will see a large number of rural hospitals closing and a equally horrific number of poor people losing health insurance but I bet the rural support of our two awful Senators (who will vote for the reconciliation bill) will still be strong. Kansas always votes against its own self interest.

So Texas is going to demand the Ten Commandments be posted in reach classroom? I wonder if it has to be in English? If I were forced to do so, I would use the Hebrew language version.... It's more accurate than most English translations and no student would have a clue to what it said.
