Even small meteorite impacts can be destructive, say Kaali impact on Saaremaa Island, Estonia impact.uwo.ca/impact-crate.... Estimated impact 5-20 kilotons of TNT !

Will a recording of the seminar be made publicly available ? Slides ?

I've just read your 2023 paper 👇. For regions such as South West UK, given that new Roman roads have only been found over last few years, how complete do you think our understanding of Roman Cornwall actually is ?

There was a #Sentinel1 acquisition on the same day - 17th Nov 17:29 UTC. Here is an overlay with @ecmwf.int wind barbs.

Click on the image and you should be get a rough idea of the wind speed and direction on that day.

Will a "smorgasbord" approach address why the UK is paying a higher risk premium on its debt than other countries ?

Will tinkering with a lot of taxes rather than going for the big ones like income tax just create more uncertainty ?

Defence of Europe should be top on the mind of EU and Member states yet it isn't. Article 17 of EU SAFE Regulation is clear -"ensure a fair balance as regards the contributions and benefits of the third country" eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2025...

We already support Ukraine, why should be pay twice?

Govt has to do a lot better at explaining the issue of rising debt interest payments, why the UK is paying a higher risk premium on its debt, and what can be done about it.

If ppl don't understand they should simply read the @theifs.bsky.social Green Budget chapter ifs.org.uk/publications...

I do agree that Govt has to do a lot better at explaining the issue of rising debt interest payments, why the UK is paying a higher risk premium on its debt, and what can be done about it.

One @theifs.bsky.social chapter highlights the problem, but not in layman's terms ifs.org.uk/publications...

Even with ceasefire in Gaza the IDF continues its urbicide.

Israel argues it is all terror infrastructure.

Some analysts say 'Israel could be violating the laws of war, which prohibit the destruction of civilian property by an occupying power.'

Yes BBC Panorama edit was wrong. However, sum of information presented did paint correct picture 👇

Can't help noticing that the economically inactive rates for EU27 and non-EU have fallen a few percentage since 2022 - a lot higher than people born in UK. What has been driving these changes ?

If citizens want big structural issues addressed with a smaller economy then how to prioritise ? Some spending set in stone - say health or changing demographics.

Which objectives to drop ? Which to aim for ?

How to build consensus ?

How to break existing norms ?

Looks totally different from above ... on a clear day. This 2024 ortho-rectified photography from the South West Coastal Monitoring Programme coastalmonitoring.org/cco/

I wonder how much landscape change there has been since the Iron Age 🤔 - BGS Onshore says Typically low susceptibility to erosion.

For imports and exports, geography really does matter. It's not the number of trade deals you have that matters - it's what they enable that counts.

Will we see this level of detail on trade stats from UK Govt ?

Some #Palestinian recipes prior to this Israel-Hamas war, and genocide are available in the West - e.g. FALASTIN book from IG @sami_tamimi and IG @tara.wigley

How were such recipes adapted by families in Gaza ?

Did different regions have their own take ?

How many family recipes are now lost ?

Agree - Bake Off is enjoyable. But it does create the impression that to be a good baker you have to know recipes and techniques off by heart. That's not the case.

If you want a good book on techniques - pastry, lamination, sugar and hard crack, ... - then look no further than Nicola Lamb's "SIFT".
