One year ago today my wife and I set off in a modified Toyota Sienna for what would be a six and a half month road trip. It was good fun and I'll try to post some of the highlights here on a one year delay.
It's quite a day for people watching at the grocery store.
Favorite so far – the guy who stepped out of the store, fished a quart of creamy tomato soup out of his bag, popped it open and chugged it cold.
Didn't even shake it up.

I was on the highway the other day and some guy in the driver's seat of a Tesla was flossing his teeth. When he noticed us noticing him, he smiled and waved, with the floss draped across the fingers of his waving hand.

This past weekend I spent three days in a place where my cell phone could not connect to anything. If you are able, I highly recommend doing so.
