Hello folks over here! I wanted to say hi. I miss hanging out with you all but I do admit I have fallen out of love with pirates. I thought maybe I'd have the urge to write them again after a break, but that hasn't happened.

in addition to "discomfort does not equal harm" I wish people also realized that sometimes (actually, most of the time) if there's something uncomfortable in a narrative, it's supposed to be uncomfortable. yes, even if its "romanticized", the author usually trusts you understand it's uncanny.
