I quit all art mediums when I was 15 partially because people didn't like my ideas and thought I'm unable to draw living things. Now that I'm teaching myself it doesn't look all bad for me but the idea stuck around

It's absurd how bad the latest open world games with that engine run for the most ppl and they are at risk to get a lot of negative feedback again if the stylized visuals don't save the performance somehow

Wrong. Even if you stick to drawing the same thing you will still get better over time and be able to come up with new, more interesting things, as long you enjoy it
I know that because I know a person who learned art by simply drawing the same character for year, he's x50 better artist than me atm
