I sure hope you're right. My fear is that Johnson will pull a parliamentary trick to hold a "special" session to vote on the budget bill & really crank up the pressure on the Rs who have signed the discharge petition until one drops off -- and only after that happens will he swear her in.

And while you're at it, tell me that you'd like to play an "all or nothing" game with the cost of your health care. And just for good measure it toss in some "I don't give a shit about what happens to my neighbors & coworkers (or anyone else)" to be sure folks know where you stand.

True. But those kind of considerations don't seem to stop the MAGA folks when they want to pick a fight over the perceived loss of some "special right" that they think they have.

On reflection, this should be an absurd thing to say. He's the President: both figuratively & literally people's lives are in his hands 24/7. But I really don't think he gets that at all. All he seems to get is that the job should make people grovel at his feet. And that he gets to order murders.

Ohio definitely has some experience with the type. Can they make the charge stick? Personally, I don’t think they have a chance in hell.

He doesn't understand what they do or why the job is so stressful. He's never been accountable for the consequences of his own actions, so of course he can't imagine what goes into have hundreds or thousands of lives in your hands for 8 or 10 hours every working day.

I would feel better about this if Kim Davis had a "better" case. I worry that SCOTUS didn't uphold Obergefell, they just declined to reinforce it by finding against Davis. Still it could have been *much* worse.
