Anduril's an interesting case because it goes so far out of its way to paint itself as a defender of democratic values. It's the whole brand. Its mission statement is "Rebuilding the Arsenal of Democracy." I asked how this jibes with arming an authoritarian monarchy and have not heard back yet.

I don't think it's an either or, and I do think that just the function of coming together with a common goal is valuable in itself. Building community and networks is valuable against the atomization of capitalism.
