This chart from the Google Cloud report shows how #AI is being used right now in #GameDev. I think only the first and last items on this list would really be considered "Using AI" to the average game player:

Big crowd at the #handsoff protest in Raleigh today, including a lot of vehicular support

Two of my notable Avowed achievements, I know that everyone likes mystery fungus drugs but I thought more people would have gone for the easy profit opportunity! The necromancers seemed like cool dudes to hang out with.

Great turnout at the People vs Griffin rally at the North Carolina State Capitol, to protest Republican efforts to cancel legal votes for the State Supreme Court election. The Raleigh #50501 Presidents Day protest is right after this

After I saw them live at MAGFest, Master Boot Record has had a reliable spot in my coding playlist. Went to buy their album and I appreciated the price as the album is officially "for 386 or higher"

The Raleigh #50501 protest was energized but cooperative, lots of people at their first protest I think. Hard to get a good picture as we marched around the state capitol

Participated in my first political protest today, a well organized one outside Thom Tillis's office. It was near a busy street and we got a lot of car horn support

And to cap off my #MAGFest 2025, some tracker/chip rave from @laamaa.fi

Kicking off the last night of #MAGFest with some hot demoscene metal from @masterbootrecord.bsky.social

The Friday evening jazz block featuring great ensembles both small (Windfall) and large (Blueshift Big Band), really tight mario covers at #MAGFest

Time for a (mostly) chill sit down acoustic set with Steven Strums #MAGFest
January 24, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Happy with my #MAGFest dealers room experience, picked up 4 good quality boxed Super Famicom games for $30 each. I forgot how beautiful the FFVI cover is!

One of the things you only see at #MAGFest is midnight indie games on custom arcade cabinets, Nidhogg 2 and Nightmare Kart in high demand
January 24, 2025 at 4:58 AM
First proper concert of #MAGFest is Steel Samurai with some hot Final Fantasy progressive metal covers

In the words of @dasharez0ne.bsky.social when things get too overwhelming during Christmas, Just Walk Out. Once I realized I could go for a walk by myself after opening presents with the family, Christmas got a lot easier.

My favorite game I played at @oakcityindie.bsky.social was Lumina Rush (also on itch), it's a speedrun-style platformer with really tight controls #gamedev #indiedev #indiegame store.steampowered.com/app/2872830/...

Checking out all the indie games at @oakcityindie.bsky.social and the North Carolina gamedev scene has some cool things going on! #gamedev

This sold me with the trailer, you're an egg now:

Voted early in Raleigh and got my sweet unicorn sticker (design by local schoolkid). I used my county's line tracker to pick a location, check if you have one before just going to the closest one.

I've been playing Like a Dragin: Infinite Wealth and it even more ridiculous and entertaining than the last one. Completely insane tonal shifts keep things interesting, and it has great sunsets:

The Talos Principle 2 is an amazing game, if you like having philosophical conversations with robots while solving abstract puzzles (which I do). Also I found a cat sleeping above the Interactive Fiction Dome:

I got to the part in Lies of P where you trudge through a poison swamp while dodging massive ballista arrows so it's definitely a Dark Souls game. It feels like Sekiro in a Bloodborne setting because it's focused on tight combat and has some plot choices

That would apparently be Craig Nutt. Here is a completely innocent photo I found while googling, named "corncode_installation_Nutt.jpg"

And the last band of Hopscotch Music Festival for me was Setting, a brand new group who closed things out with some beautiful psychedelic post rock:

Spent the weekend at Hopscotch Music Festival here in Raleigh and really enjoyed some of the club shows (the headliners were fine).

Highlight of Night 1 was Kassa Overall with a great high energy jazz/hiphop set to get things going:
