I haven’t been online as much post-showgirl but I don’t think anybody is stepping back for any definitive reasons rn (unless something happened and I’m just out of the loop)… I think a lot of us are just ND and the hyperfixation may be bouncing to one of our many other hobbies for a bit. Plus, life.

Admittedly, my first thought when I saw this photo, was that he looked like one of the thieves cosplaying as a detective in order to find out how much the investigators know about them… it just gives rag tag crew member whimsically engaging in white collar crime. 💎

So, an update on the Louvre Heist… this is the detective investigating the situation. 🕵️‍♂️

He dressed with an incredibly specific purpose that day for work. With the fedora, multi-piece suit, AND the umbrella cane??

Also, I’m dying at the heavy side eye the officer is giving the detective.

People are NOT happy and there’s obviously some pretty BIG concerns that the thieves will melt down the literal 👑 💎 of France for gold and sell the jewels at current market value… basically, very worried that priceless historical artifacts will be destroyed with no feasible recovery options.

ALSO, apparently this is the latest in a series of heists targeting French cultural institutions? Last month, $700,000 worth of raw gold was taken from the National Museum of Natural History in Paris.

They broke in using a ladder mounted on the back of a truck and then fled the scene of the crime on motor scooters 😳
