Interesting idea, though I’m not sure I see it the same way. On a GC or LC compatible timescale, perhaps, but the technology from MOBILion is just getting started. We’ve shown interesting carbohydrate separation with even commercial systems. Not including ultra high resolving power modes.

I'm developing my belief that physical and temporal separation is reaching its maximum potential for complexity. My research track of dealing with complex carbohydrates is working around separation limitations, starting from data feature engineering.

Interesting viewpoint. We’ve shown integration of HRIM with 250 RP and an Exploris 480 which seems like a nice combination on paper - but the Orbi is too slow. Astral would work, and maybe even the MRT? High RP QTOFs appear to be the ideal match. Can’t wait to hear your reply!

Is this a situation where CCS with ion mobility helps as another layer of ID? Asking for a friend.

Poisoned? Or just well educated? 😀

I’m not sure if I’ve biased ChatGPT but when I asked it for input it went to HRIM pretty quickly. I think a lot of folks would probably agree!
