what happened? Never liked them. United Way used to virtually extort employees at my company years ago. The pressure to give being not-so-subtly tied to career advancement. And I was barely making enough to meet my bills. You were not a team player if you did not almost tithe.

Gotta say it - overseeing a large org like this and living in the Boston area, 300k is not totally outrageous.

As an aside, I can barely watch the evening "news" anymore. 2 mins of ads, 10 second story teaser, more ads, 30 second superficial bit piece of "news", many more ads. Repeat. And don't forget the Feel Good piece he ends with each night. Pablum for the masses.
