It was def my kinda game and it was so gorgeous- I knew I just needed to be in the right mood so kept trying until it clicked.

I never played the story in this game and know I should definitely give it another shot. But at the time all I wanted to do was play poker and hunt, and the simulation is so good that I got at least 20 hours in before I lost interest 😆

I keep trying with this one- I even got the Royal edition and am thinking 5th time might be a charm lol

I had the same experience with Horizon Zero Dawn! Took me 4 times to get into it.

I started Horizon Zero Dawn 4 times before it finally clicked. I kept getting hung up in the early game stuff and just couldn’t get into it. Tried it for the last time a few months before Forbidden West came out and BAM, it finally hit right and I platinumed it and the Frozen Wilds DLC.

That’s a good sign IMO- means you’re likely over the worst of it and can take cough suppressants instead of an expectorant.

I’m getting flashbacks to my teenage years with some of the art on those cards. Awesome!
