If the strike force Rear Admiral refused such an order, that would likely end the operation. It would take courage, but the scandal of “ replacing” him when his staff would be witness would be a snowballing disaster for Hegseth and Trump.

I know, I know..."easy for YOU to say." That's true, but such an order is so patently illegal, Bradley had a legal and moral obligation to honor his oath and refuse the order or, as his predecessor did, resign his command.

I'm not Mark Kelly, I was merely a noncombatant Army infantry officer who recalls the training we all had from the JAG colonel at Ft Benning not to obey clearly illegal orders. IMO, if Vice Admiral Bradley gave such an order, it was given by Hegseth. But Bradley should have refused such an order.
