What was it about Donald "tax cuts for billionaires" Trump that first attracted the Dells to this particular investment?

Do you see these petitions as "part of the democratic process"?

I see them as a way for people to feel like they've done something without having actually done anything.
November 29, 2025 at 8:05 AM
Strange question. The point is that these petitions are nothing more than performative nonsense and as such give people a false sense of having achieved something. In a better world people do actual things to help, not stupid performative gestures like this.

What was the point of your comment?
November 28, 2025 at 8:33 PM
Totally support the sentiment, but let's not pretend these petitions ever achieve anything.

If it ain't from Yorkshire, it's shite.

With all due respect to our neighbours across the Pennines, obvs.

What does a house's age have to do with its value?
November 27, 2025 at 6:49 AM
Sure, whack them up a few hundred more, won't make any difference. You already pissed off your friends so they're already not coming anyway.
November 26, 2025 at 3:39 PM
What?
November 26, 2025 at 7:16 AM
I don't know how much longer we have to wait before we're allowed a vote on undoing Brexit. Ridiculous that our economy is flatlining and yet we continue with this pretence that we will somehow "make Brexit work".

Once they equalised they were massively in the ascendancy and it was obvious they were going to go on and get a second. Just like against Forest we let them make subs first and seize the initiative while we continued with a Plan A that had stopped working.

I like Farke, but time's running out.
November 24, 2025 at 11:31 AM
I've defended Farke, but no more. Anyone can see that Dan James provides ten times more goal threat than Aaronson. Subs always too late and only once we're already behind.

Another day like today and we could be done after 2 🙃

Honestly put in the effort to get into it. Get a mate who likes cricket to take you to a Test Match, it's a gift that keeps on giving.

Took two mates who didn't understand cricket to a couple of Test Matches 20 years ago, they have loved it ever since.
November 21, 2025 at 12:59 PM
100% agree. Was sat there at 5am, sleet battering the windows in the darkness but watching cricket from a hot country - especially since we're doing OK - still gave me a nice contented feeling.
November 21, 2025 at 12:55 PM
What hope we sign a couple of attacking options in January? Anyone can see we need them.

Could we at least recall Ramazani I wonder?
November 18, 2025 at 11:10 AM
Trump thinks everyone is as tribal as him and his insane cult, like we'll all go "oh no, we risk outing Democrat paedos!" as opposed to what we'll actually say: "OK great, let's prosecute all paedos irrespective of what party they're in"
November 14, 2025 at 3:29 PM
Should just say "I'M SO CONFUSED BY IT ALL", would have saved us all a bit of time.
November 14, 2025 at 1:14 PM
Maybe they realised it's not a serious publication and hasn't been for decades now.

It's just the Daily Mail but with Hyacinth Bucket-style airs and graces.
November 14, 2025 at 12:41 PM
We're gonna be 19th by Christmas.
November 14, 2025 at 8:48 AM
No worries! Yeah Savile was a regular there back in the day, the dirty old bastard. And when he died Truss put out a tweet about how great it used to be seeing him in the Flying Pizza!
November 13, 2025 at 6:04 PM
Used to work there in the 90s. Got to meet all the greats from the title-winning team in '92, often they'd come in early before we opened so I'd get to chat with them a bit. Good times.

Not Cantona though, he never came. Obviously a wrong 'un.
November 13, 2025 at 3:05 PM
You mean apart from Jimmy Savile and Liz Truss, right?
November 13, 2025 at 3:03 PM
Who'd have guessed that Rees-Mogg would be utterly wrong about this as well as everything else he's been wrong about previously.

If he had any shame he'd never be heard of again.

Reform only oppose it because they're on the payroll of oil companies. It's the only reason anyone has left to do so.
