The whole ethos of children's sports is a spirit of inclusion and community- sad to see a small minority of parents ruin it by blending competitiveness with prejudice, whether that's on class, race, ethnicity or gender grounds. Mortifying to talk like this about any human being, let alone a child.

I should point out Maynooth is in Co Kildare (home of Saint Brigid and Paul Mescal) and not Co Dublin (home of Colin Farrell, Sinéad O'Connor and me)
