Don't use it at all - it's horrible for the environment, and renders any paper it touches unrecyclable. We don't have any in school, and I'm glad!

Lots of teachers do this, & it's usually fine. I've got kids things like chewelry/books which would help them before. Not the sort of thing you can claim back when we're struggling to afford glue. We used to have a budget to get small gifts for the whole class at Christmas, when schools had money!

but put them off until adulthood - when it tends to suck more. But it's now well established eg in the US and seems to work, plus they've factored in time missed from work/school.

Primarily because the cost of the vaccine, plus nurse appointments, reminders etc, was considered not worth the benefit, as complications from chicken pox are so rare. Also there were worries when it was early in use that it wasn't effective for long, so would not stop cases,
