Lightning Returns clearly had the smallest budget of the 3 and runs like crap because it’s one of the first open zone RPGs haha and pushes the tech to the limit, you’ll see a ton of gameplay stuff there that’s used later in 15&16, the story is WILD though haha 🤐

It’s not as grand in scope, but it’s a worthwhile successor. I think people didn’t like the only two party members + monster companion; but it’s like a souped up chrono game. The time travel stuff is awesome, as is the monster raising and training.

The whole trilogy is my “favorite” Final Fantasy experience 🫶🏼 I replay it every couple years.

I’m pretty sure I’m one of like 20 people who own the Vita TV, making it less portable doesn’t really HELP the experience, but it makes it more comfortable 😂

3 is easily the best (X is unnecessary), but yeah I’d play 2 (and Torna) before 3 if you can. And at least watch a video on 1 & it’s dlc before you playing Future Redeemed (3’s DLC, it’s like Torna in that it’s its own game basically)

I didn’t go back and finish 1 until I beat 2 and then I became obsessed with the lore/worlds. 1 is wayyy to much of grind/quest fest. It is one of the first open zone rpgs of its kind, and I don’t think the devs quite knew how to do that yet.
