A fetish model and aspiring Pro-Domme from Cambridge, UK. I'm looking for photographers/videographers/producers to push the boundaries and create unusual and extreme content with! But I do also do SFW modelling. Oh, and I'm also trans!

Pronouns: She/her
I didn't know about the cancel culture/anti-trans turn! I loved Arcadia and R/G too, and "The Real Inspector Hound" was possibly the funniest thing I'd ever read.

I suppose there's no chance of getting P.R.O.B.E included then. Liz Shaw's supporters tried to warn us about this, and now it seems Sarah Jane's inclusion is jeopardised too.

Searched the article, no mention of trans rights anywhere.

Will either David Tennant or David Tennant hear my motion that "The Wheel in Space" has been underrated, and that it has been judged based on it's similarity to the plots preceding it, instead of on its own merits?

Sorry, autocorrect happened. Insex not Index!

How long before they start regenerating into Matt Smith and Ncuti Gatwa?
November 29, 2025 at 5:22 PM
Agreed, and despite Choke Point supposedly ending during the Trump administration, I recall Fetlife being subjected to something very like it during Trump 1.0.

I've also seen someone claim that the Bush admin used similar tactics in shutting down a site called Index in the 00s.

Is there any alternative you would recommend?

I've tried using online pharmacies instead (one of the few times when one does have to use cryptocurrency to pay for something) only for Coinbase to shut my account down. So, back to GGP I went.

Really looking forward to the dinosaur 🦕 historian.

Thanks! I'll check this out, and share it with my friend who is a long-time wrestling fan.

Tell me more!

who were putting on a production with the rest of their theatre group!

I think the Moonshot Network @moonshotpods.bsky.social covered this game on one of their podcasts - though it might have been an unrelated podcast - anyway, the game sounded really cool.

The best bit being that the main characters, when they weren't being superheroes, actually were theatre geeks 1/

As some of the domains sometimes go down... Just want to check you learned about the archive.is and archive.today URLs for the same site.

In fairness, Rusbridger also allowed Cohen to keep groping other staff members and getting away with it.

the brilliant investigative journalist, into early retirement. Or just got rid of him full stop, and perhaps he couldn't get hired elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Viner allowed serial sexual harasser (and occasional TERF writer) Nick Cohen to carry on with impunity.
November 27, 2025 at 11:45 AM
Viner's appointment as editor came after the Snowden coverage, in which (though I can't remember the article off the top of my head) apparently Guardian staff were scared by the NSA backlash and wanted someone who wouldn't take a courageous stand against power.

I believe she pushed Nick Davies, 1/

I'm also pretty sure the focus on sports and trans children as a strategy came after the failed 2015 "bathroom bills" and the threatened boycotts of North Carolina by businesses.
November 27, 2025 at 11:25 AM
Do you have any evidence of Kath Viner being influenced by them in 2017/2018 when the Guardian went full anti-trans? I am aware that the Christian right is funding a lot of this hate, and maybe they had some way to indirectly pressure Guardian editorial back then, but I haven't seen evidence.
November 27, 2025 at 11:23 AM
I think that may have been 2017? I do recall them saying that and I agree that they're funding the problem, but the Guardian's descent into full transphobia happened without the evangelicals pressuring them.
November 27, 2025 at 11:20 AM
I'll read it when I have time, but the pivotal moment of all this - the Guardian suddenly going full-on transphobe when self-ID was proposed under the May government - did not seem to have any outside influence.

I think this helped create a bandwagon that the US groups could jump on, though.

Christine Jorgensen in the 1950s, yes.
November 27, 2025 at 10:04 AM
It wasn't taken down. I don't recall if it was in the Guardian or Observer, but it was never taken down.

The Julie Burchill one from 2013 might have been, I don't recall. But Bindel's hate articles weren't.

Modesty Blaise - but a screenplay faithful to Peter O'Donnell's first MB novel this time!

Ana Marie Cox's linked writing below possibly makes the key point better than I just did.
