A hard fought 3-0 at last night’s Wilmington cube draft. Played this super solid Pure Metal list. Level ball -> Jirachi -> Arezu -> Ledian -> whatever, was such a powerful option. #pokemontcg #pokemoncube

Realized I never posted my Pokémon cube, so here it is! This cube has been a blast so far, and has been developing well. I just made some substantial changes to swap out some cards that weren't seeing enough play. cubekoga.net/Cube/WLMDE#o...

An awesome but heartbreaking run at the Pokemon Atlanta Regional this weekend. 5-3 with Gholdengo; all the losses were to decks I didn’t have time to test against. The cost of being in law school at the same time I suppose. Deck felt great, only reasons I lost were to player error. Till next time

Palkia’s realm is not ADA compliant fellas, shut him down. Shut it all down.

Close enough - welcome to PTCGP, Boss’s Orders.

I have just found my favorite card in TCG Pocket. I will be opening Space-Time Smackdown until I can fill an entire binder full of these perfect buddies.

Took down today’s League Cup at EG Collectibles with Raging Bolt! Lots of great games and a wonderful end to Surging Sparks format. Matches below ->

The Iono package is seemingly finding some success by running Raging Bolt as its main attacker. NGL - I think there’s some major cookage here. Looking forward to testing this for Atlanta. #JourneyTogether #PokemonTCG

Last night’s Wilmington Cube event went great. Everyone is getting a better understanding of what to look for and the decks overall were much better. Took home the 3-0 with this disgusting Psychic control list. Shoutout to Base Set Mr. Mime with Lux Cape for being a royal pain. #PokemonTCG

Had an exciting tournament weekend. Went to my first GLC event at 95 Games Center. 2-2 with Cray Code Colorless was a bit underwhelming, but I made some bad misplays so I’m not upset. Led into a undefeated 5-0 at the Wilmington Alternate Universe standard challenge on Sunday though which was huge

This is pretty nuts. Probably doesn’t crack standard even with 240HP, but this is the Battle Partners spice I’ve been hoping to see printed into the new format. Also obvious GLC/Cube playability.

Trying to figure out what to cook for the first GLC tournament of the year this Saturday. What will probably happen is I just end up playing Lost Zone Psychic or Sablelock anyway though lol

Finally got to draft my cube on Sunday with a couple of my friends. God-like luck in pack 4 got me this super consistent Turbo RillaSaur deck. Went 3-0 as I was consistently getting 1-2 Stage 2s out on my second turn. Definitely has put some cards on the watchlist for future drafts tho.

3-0 with Steven Lowe’s Snorlax Stall list from Toronto at League Play yesterday. This deck has an incredible matchup spread and I highly recommend giving it a spin. Only change I made was swapping an Eri for an Erika’s Invitation just as a local meta call.

I think it’s interesting to see how differently control decks are treated between Pokemon and Magic. My initial thought was that it likely mainly stems from Pokemon’s more casual audience, but the more I think about it, the more I think it comes from the relative lack of alternative win cons in PKMN

Cube pickups from this week - hoping to have the full project done by Prismatic Evolutions. Also hoping this actually turns out fun and not a broken mess of overpowered options lol

First pack magic - immersive rare Celebi ex! This art is stunning. All the exclusive arts for Pokemon pocket stand out but this may be my new favorite.

Looks like this card has already started warping the Japanese metagame. Curious how things will develop over the next month before this guy makes his way oversees in Prismatic Evolutions. #PokemonTCG

Toby and Peach looking at me like I’m about to commit the most heinous war crime against them (I need to sit in my chair to study at my desk).

Finally picked up a Light Azumarill for my Yuka Morii collection. Snatched a Mew too for some GLC bling.

Despite the fact that I don't care much for Sableye in the mainline games or Unite, TCG Sableye might just be one of my favorite Pokemon. Creatures continuously gives this goober some of the most headache-inducing cards. Super glad 3 of them are GLC playable.

As someone who loved Runeterra, I’m so screwed. I don’t know if my broke student wallet can support a third TCG lmao. Very excited to see what Riot brings to the TCG table. #projectk

It's a shame that Turbo Hands/Future Box was not able to keep up with the meta because these are stunning. I'd probably still use the versions with the bitties background in decks but these are going to be my binder chase cards from #PrismaticEvolutions for sure. #pokemontcg

Possibly a hot take but if Creatures improved the quality of the average pack-filler Pokemon in booster packs, more people would play the TCG. New players often want to play with their favorites and it can be hard to accept that such an approach isn’t viable for even most casual tables.
