3/end Stop lecturing individual physicians about AI literacy while systems:
• deny us functioning EHRs
• ignore staffing & burnout
• buy black-box tools for marketing.
Fix governance, incentives, and workflow first. Then we can talk about who’s “in the loop.”

2/ Yes, clinicians need a basic sense of what AI can/can’t do. But “doctor as last line of defense” only works if we:
• give time in the schedule
• pay for the work
• regulate vendors
• share liability.
Otherwise it’s just cost-cutting with a moral sheen.

1/2 AI in health care isn’t “autopilot with a pilot nearby.” It’s more like bolting a robot onto a broken plane and telling the pilot to watch it, chart, code, message patients, meet metrics, and somehow absorb AI literacy in spare time that doesn’t exist.
