They don't propose to do anything about it. Why would they? Men feel like they're on top of the food chain, and they like the dominance and control. It's all about power.

You could argue most males are part of the problem since our society is based on a patriarchal system. Boys are taught at a young age to "be a man" (whatever that means). I was responding to my personal perspective.
Do you argue all males are the problem? If so, then what do you propose?

They are definitely part of the problem. A culture of hypermasculinity in a lot of media is another driver.
But keep in mind that it's primarily about control. DV/SA/rape is all about power and control. This includes emotional and verbal abuse.

I was 16. Was introduced to Pet Shop Boys, then The Smiths, then someone played the Descendents "I Don't Want to Grow Up" vinyl. I was done. I wore out three cassettes of that album . Then got Milo, then DK, then Minor Threat. And it's been a helluva ride since.

My cousin lives only a few km from it. She thinks the fires are out now, but wasn't 100% sure
