Husband & I buy ourselves our gifts. Our birthdays are in January as well, so we buy those ourselves too. There's nothing to open on the days though which is a little sad. I do make British-style crackers with silly riddles and trinkets inside. We pull them and yell "bang!" like Tom & Barbara Good.
