Went through this last year with my dad in late stage dementia, younger sister 750 miles away dealt with it everyday for a few years and I don’t know how she did it.

My wife’s brother and sister are like this, think they are realizing it since my mother-in-law had an injury recently, 3 months in rehab facility, Medicare paid for that but not the specialist nurse needed for her other health issues, that was $10K/month.

My mother extended family lived just outside of Quebec, when she went up there with her mother and sister she’s do this exact thing. It was 5 hours drive so my dad would yell at us to stay off the phone starting about 4.5 hours after they left until she “rang”

Never watched a minute of Titanic, just two weeks ago I was cleaning up in the garage and found the double box set VHS unopened, I’ve added it to our will, bequeathed to which ever kid doesn’t put us in a home, lol
